Topic: toolchains names

Patrick Massot (Feb 12 2019 at 14:00):

@Sebastian Ullrich could you explain why, depending on the computer, my .elan/toochains/ contains names like 3.4.2 of 3.4.2-x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu? (with the same settings.toml)

Sebastian Ullrich (Feb 12 2019 at 14:00):

Could the latter be from an older version of elan?

Patrick Massot (Feb 12 2019 at 14:00):

maybe yes

# 0.5.0 - 2018-04-20

## Changed

- Full toolchain names and their directories do not mention the operating system (the "target triple", to be exact) any more. You may want to delete your old toolchains from `~/.elan/toolchains` to save space.

thanks

Patrick Massot (Feb 12 2019 at 14:15):

I can confirm that updating elan solves the problem
