Muting not working

I muted a user, but still receive their private messages. Am I doing something wrong? Or is this intended design?

It's nothing block worthy, just annoying, but would still be a nice qol.

https://zulip.com/help/mute-a-user describes the expected behaviour of muted users. Were you still seeing them in the sidebar?

It's specifically the fact that new private messages still appear as notifs and in my inbox. But like I said, more qol than worth a report for now. Thanks for the help. When I can provide more details for a ticket I'll let you know.

As in, you still get push notifications on mobile? Or desktop notifications? Or emails?

If so that's certainly not the intent, and a bug we should fix.
