Zulip colors changed

I'm not sure if I did something or if this server was updated, but Zulip was previously much bluer than it is now.
I'm using the dark theme, and here's how it looks right now:

Compare to an old image I found online, which shows the colors Zulip had yesterday (this is a very old version, but with the same colors):

Visually I think the difference is that channel and topic links are no longer blue, and the background became lighter (previously #1c1c1c, now #242424). I believe the background of unread topics was also blue, and now it's gray (#2e2e2e).

I know I can fix this with Zulip's custom CSS, but what caused the change? Is it an update or a setting?
I also tested Zulip's own server now, and it has the new non-blue look, but idk how it looked yesterday.

Yes, we are updating the design of recent conversations to better match the current design of the rest of the app. Specific feedback on the new design is much appreciated.
