When I want to write displayed math equations using ```math zulip is very annoying in auto-completing math to mathematica. Is there any way to change this? Does anyone ever write mathematica code?

Regardless, I think the answer is no, nobody ever writes Mathematica code (here), and no, there's no way to change it.

You could open an issue at Zulip about the over agressive autocompletion I guess

I don't mind the autocompletion per se, but it seems there is no easy way to cancel it. It would be just fine if I could press escape to kill the autocompletion suggestions.

Actually, I'm trying it again now, and escape does kill it, but it opens up again when you press enter to make a new line.
