Topic: Student Researcher Program at Google Deepmind
Eric Wieser (Jan 19 2024 at 17:55):
Hi all,
I'm pleased to announce that there is an opportunity to join Google DeepMind as a student researcher.
If you're a current undergraduate, masters or PhD student, and are interested in collaborating with me and my colleagues on the intersection of formal maths and machine learning, please think of applying!
Rather than contacting me directly, please reach out to gdm-maths@google.com to register your interest and (when the link opens) apply here.
Peiran Wu (Jan 21 2024 at 15:02):
Does the region matter? I see that applications are not yet open in EMEA

The page list 12 positions so far. Is it the link for Student Researcher Program?
Eric Wieser (Feb 01 2024 at 20:12):
The Student Researcher Program is mentioned in a separate section below those roles
Eric Wieser (Feb 01 2024 at 20:13):
Regarding the region; indeed the EMEA applications are not yet open, but this does not mean we are not interested in this region (and it is where I am based). If you are interested, but in the EMEA region, please still send an email despite the fact you can't officially apply just yet.
Kevin Cheung (Feb 01 2024 at 20:33):
I am not familiar with the acronym EMEA. I might have missed it from earlier posts. Could you expand?
Kevin Cheung (Feb 01 2024 at 20:34):
I guess I googled my answer: Europe, the Middle East and Africa?
