Resolvent Transform of a Measure #
Given a normed algebra A over a normed field π, and ΞΌ : Measure π, we define the
resolvent transform of ΞΌ by the formula
resolventTransform ΞΌ a = β« x, resolvent a x βΞΌ = β« x, (ββ x - a)β»ΒΉΚ³ βΞΌ
This is not a standard notion in the literature, but specializes to a few standard notions,
namely the case π = β and A = β is the Stieltjes transform, and the case π = A = β is the
Cauchy transform, given by the formulas:
β« (x : β), (βx - a)β»ΒΉ βΞΌ and β« (x : β), (βx - a)β»ΒΉ βΞΌ respectively.
